Writing for Wellbeing: Haiku Day 7

grass feel my wet feet

sunlight touch my warm heartbeat

earth taste my tongue

This is the last poem in the seven day challenge I set myself on National Poetry Day to write a haiku each morning to help focus my mind on what is good in the present moment. I’ve not only found it useful but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it too. Maybe you’d like to try doing something similar yourself? Challenge yourself to write seven days of haiku or, if you’d like to try a variety of supported creative exercises, I have a few events coming up soon in Bristol.
