Women’s online writing circle – fortnightly by zoom

I put my women’s writing circle on hold when we went into social isolation in March but I’m now ready to run it by zoom from 25 September 2020.

A safe and friendly space where four to eight of us can come together as women to see, hear, and support each other as we use expressive and creative writing to explore aspects of who we are now as women; including our thoughts, feelings and creativity, our relationships with others, with ourselves and with our own bodies.  It’s likely that this period we have experienced of being socially isolated through the covid-19 pandemic from our usual circles of women friends will impact on the sorts of stories we write about. The aim is to explore writing as a wellbeing-enhancing activity, it is not a therapeutic group nor is any previous experience necessary. All you need is the ability to access the circle by zoom, a pen and a notebook.

You will try some guided writing exercises and have the opportunity to share in a small group of other women that you will get to know over the time we share together. We will meet fortnightly on a Friday from 1 – 2:30pm and you can sign up for a course of six sessions at a time for £60 payable when you book your place.

Dates for the autumn sessions: 25 September, 9 and 23 October, 6 and 20 November, 4 December.

Exploring the fascinating world of our dreams through the practice of dream journaling. Two free writing for wellbeing workshops I offered at the Flamingo Centre to support the centre during the downturn due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Writing for Wellbeing  at The Flamingo Centre, Westbury on Trym September/ October 2019

I was at the Flamingo Centre in September and October 2019 with three writing for wellbeing workshops.  We used words and images to stimulate our own creative responses to the changes going on in us and in the world around us.
