Women’s writing circle, fortnightly by zoom: January  to March 2022

The women’s writing circle is a place where we explore writing as a wellbeing-enhancing activity in the company of other women. We meet fortnightly during school term time three or four times a year and connect as women as we engage in self-exploration through creative and expressive writing in a variety of forms and from a variety of prompts. Alongside the writing, there is an opportunity to share what we have written or talk about the themes that emerge. It is not a therapeutic group nor is any previous writing experience necessary. All you need is the ability to access the circle by zoom, a pen and a notebook.

You will try some guided writing exercises and have the opportunity to share in a small group of other women that you will get to know over the time we share together. You can sign up for a course of five sessions at a time for £75, payable when you book your place.

Spaces in both  circles are limited to six women only to allow us to get to know each other and share our writing in a contained space.

Dates for the 2022 sessions:

Thursday evening circle: 7 – 8:30 PM on 20 January, 3 and 17 February, 3 and 17 March

Friday daytime circle: 1 – 2:30 PM on 21 January, 4 and 18 February, 4 and 18 March NOW CLOSED

Retreats: Rest, Reflect, Restore

In October 2021, Jane Willis and myself held a writing for self-care retreat in the beautiful Welsh countryside. Our next retreat will be at the lovely Arvon writing venue, Totleigh Barton, from 10 to 14 October 2022. Please get in touch with me on if you’d like to register your interest.

These writing for wellbeing events are for everyone regardless of previous writing experience. The focus is to engage in self-exploration through creative writing and connect with others as part of a safely held group interested in doing the same. Please contact Rachel on for further details if you’re interested in future events.
